I am trying to install my PS4 Upgrade Kit, but am receiving errors.

This is often caused by the incorrect update file being placed on the flash drive. To find the correct folder, go to:

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/system-updates/ps4/

Then, click on "Do you want to perform a fresh install of the full system software? If so then click here"

After that, click the DOWNLOAD NOW >> button under the bulletpoint:

"Download the update file, and save it in the "UPDATE" folder you created in step 1.

Save the file with the file name "PS4UPDATE.PUP"."

The correct update file should be around 800-900 MB in size. If it is significantly smaller, it is not the correct update file.

This file should allow you to complete the hard drive upgrade process.

Additionally, make sure that the update file is placed in the correct destination on the flash drive. To do this, create a folder named "PS4" (case sensitive) and inside of that folder, create a folder named "UPDATE" (case sensitive). Place the downloaded update file inside of the "UPDATE" folder.
