Can I connect a Mobius unit via eSATA if my card does not have a port multiplier?

All of our eSATA RAID systems require the eSATA host to provide port multiplier support. If your eSATA port does not provide this feature, it will only recognize one drive when using JBOD mode.

However, if using a RAID mode, you will not need port multiplier support because the hardware RAID creates a single volume when the RAID is set.
