Protect, Share, and Deliver Creative Projects
Your footage shouldn't exist in just one place.
AvastorX is cloud backup developed by our team at Oyen Digital. It gives photographers, filmmakers, and content creators a simple way to keep a second copy of active projects in the cloud while sharing files directly with clients. Back up your work, deliver proofs, request files from collaborators, and manage client access from a single platform.
Get 1TB Free With Every Oyen Digital Drive
Every Oyen Digital drive includes 1TB of AvastorX storage, free for one year. Redeem the activation card in the box and use that space to protect current projects, photos, footage, or an important library.
Protect Your Active Projects
AvastorX backs up your working folders, from newly copied footage to your current edit. It also preserves complete Final Cut Pro, Apple Photos, and Logic libraries so you can restore them to another computer.
On set, select the folder where you copy your memory cards. AvastorX can upload new files while you review and organize them, keeping one copy on your Oyen drive and another in the cloud.
Files are encrypted during transfer and stored with AES-256 encryption. Support is USA-based, and the app runs on Windows and both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. You can also access your account through a web browser.
Share Directly From Your Backup
Share individual files or entire folders without uploading them again. Individual downloads preserve the original exactly as uploaded, with no re-encoding of ProRes, RAW, or other full-quality files.
AvastorX prepares large folders on its servers so clients can download everything together. Password-protected galleries let clients browse and download without an account. When you need files from your crew, a file-request link lets them upload directly into your chosen folder without an account either.
Deliver Work on Your Terms
You control how clients access your work:
- Protect links with passwords, expiration dates, and download limits.
- Revoke access when a job is finished.
- Email links from AvastorX and receive download notifications.
- Share watermarked proofs before releasing originals.
Preview-only links show watermarked images without allowing downloads of the high-resolution originals. The watermark is built into the preview image, not added as a removable overlay. For video and drone footage, share watermarked 1080p previews for approval while keeping the masters private.
“I uploaded 360 JPEGs and RAWs from a shoot for a client to download, and AvastorX handled the whole batch cleanly — one file stalled and picked right back up the moment I restarted it. The same upload through Dropbox’s browser froze and restarted three times before it finally finished on the fourth try. AvastorX was more reliable and came in nearly 30 minutes faster. AvastorX 1, Dropbox 0.”
