  • Note: Windows 2000, XP & MAC OS 10.2 (& older) do not support partitions larger than 2TB+ or higher. In order to support 2TB+ partitions, you must use Windows Vista, 7, or Mac OS 10.3 or higher. Please note that Windows XP 64-bit and Windows 2003 support 2TB+ when using USB & eSATA, but are limited to 2TB when using FireWire.

The newly designed DataTale RS-M4QO 4-Bay RAID System is a powerful RAID storage management device with flexible connectivity, hot swap support, and easy HDD access. The RS-M4QO offers a variety of RAID storage management options: including RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), RAID 5, RAID 5+HotSpare, and RAID 0+1. The LED indicators provide easy verification of operating status.

The trayless capability of the SmartGuider™ provides a unique and easy way of HDD removal and installation – simply lift the handle to withdraw the HDDs. In addition, auto-limiting segmented screws are utilized to prevent over-tightening of the HDDs.

Airflow is maximized due to the upright positioning and the high quality, quiet fans that exhaust air away from the internal HDDs, dramatically enhancing internal air flow. The thermally efficient aluminum also maintains optimal HDD operating temperature, prolonging the life of the HDDs.

Using the powerful storage management of the DataTale is as easy as using a single bay external enclosure. Simply install the SmartGuider™ handles onto the HDDs, set the RAID mode via the mode switch, select the HDD number via the HDD switch, connect the cables, and turn on the power for massive storage capacity, redundancy or instant real-time backups.
