With an impressive combination of FireWire 800 and USB 3.0, the MiniPro can be powered from the FireWire or USB connection — or powered using the included power adapter. The MiniPro is equipped with the industry's best Oxford chipset, which is approved by many professional Audio/Video hardware and software manufacturers for high-end media production. The USB 3.0 port is backward compatible with all USB 2.0 ports allowing for maximum cross-compatibility with existing computers. Finally, the HDD spin-down feature ensures efficient operation by reducing power consumption. When your computer enters sleep mode, the hard drive spins down to minimize power consumption. The hard drive spins up automatically when the host system wakes up.
