  • Includes either NovaStor's NovaBackup® 11 for Windows ($49.95 retail) or Prosoft Engineering's Data Backup 3 for Mac OSX ($59 retail). The software is not required in order to use the drive.

The HDD spin-down feature ensures efficient operation by reducing power consumption. When your computer enters sleep mode, the hard drive spins down to minimize power consumption. The hard drive spins up automatically when the host system wakes up.
