The solid black enclosure features a unique aluminum body engineered to effectively dissipate heat and allow for maximum protection. The drive is powered using bus power; eliminating the need for a power adapter. This model is capable of powering from an eSATAp port using a single cable connection (requires eSATA + DC power cable).
